Water is an abundant resource that covers 71% of the Earth’s surface, but only a small percentage of this reserve is non-renewable drinking water. All known forms of life depend on water and therefore it is important that we actively conserve our use of fresh water. Water conservation goals include sustainability, where withdrawal should not exceed natural replacement rate, energy conservation and habitat conservation.
The College of New Jersey is committed to an environmentally responsible campus in all a aspects, whether through planning, design, renovation and construction, or maintenance.
If you notice a leak in a building or area on campus please call Facilities Operations at 771-2353.
